Helen Kagan, the artist, was born and raised in Russia. She immigrated to the US as a refugee in 1991. She holds both, her Doctorate in Science and a Masters degree in Psychology from leading universities in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she was also trained in many alternative therapeutic modalities, including Art Therapy and Energy Healing.

In USA Helen also studied various traditional and alternative modalities including Holistic Healing and Spiritual Counseling. She is a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), certified Energy Healer and a Spiritual Counselor ( see  www.NYhealing.com)

Being a holistic psychotherapist, Helen believes that therapy is most beneficial when it assists an individual as a whole, and that all therapeutic modalities should be valued to the degree they facilitate a natural energy flow that help bring a person to wellness. The unique integration of Eastern and Western approaches in her practice coupled with her artistic passionate nature, allows Dr. Kagan to skillfully facilitate the holistic intelligence of the healing process for every person she assists on their journey.

In her private practice she’s been successfully utilizing Healing and various forms of
Expressive Therapies ( Art, Drama, Movement) as major therapeutic modalities.

In Florida since 2006, Helen created a ‘Wellness World’ company to provide Holistic Services to the communities; and a ‘Peace of Mind’ decoration business that offers Art in many forms - Canvas Paintings, Faux Finishing, Murals, Re-styling, Decoration.

Helen’s goal is to integrate Expressive Arts and the Art of Healing. As a professional therapist and a healer, she has a never ending intention to better the World, to balance and beautify the environment, and to assist people on their Journeys… She strongly believes in the healing qualities of Art, and is currently working on her new “Art for Healing” Project.

I believe that Art as a beautiful form of self-expression, conveys our role in bringing powerful interpretations of our reality, our own unique experiences, to present and future generations.

Each new generation creates new concepts, new ideas, new paradigms, therefore - new understanding and possibly new art forms which are to change the culture… This shift of a paradigm happens when a true artist communicates their unlimited creativity, dreams and passions from the heart… When we, artists, bring new powerful passionate interpretations that find resonance in every heart while enhancing the beauty of each moment of Now…

I believe that a truly gifted artist is the one who can genuinely communicate from the heart their perception of  the World and Beauty through all senses: sight, touch, smell, sound, taste, and of course the sixth sense – intuition... I feel that Passion, Wisdom, Healing, and Love – all are inevitable ingredients of true Art.

My art reflects my own unique experience of living in a multi-dimensional world - I communicate through beautiful expressive vibrations of color and energetically balanced composition; and I am attracted to a natural wisdom and infinite possibilities of every moment… 

My purpose is to integrate Expressive Arts and the Art of Healing. As a professional therapist and a healer, I have a constant desire and never ending intention to better the World, to balance the environment, to help the human kind… Often just one person at a time, and often by offering my Healing Art through self-expression in many available forms and dimensions…

I believe that experiencing the beauty of self-expression through Art is a true gift… And I want to share this gift with everybody who is willing and ready to embrace the magic and joy of every unique moment of Here & Now…
